I had an amazing experience at this hotel! the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome from the very beginning. Secondly, the hotel's location in a small village was perfect - I had stunning views of the ocean and mountains from the generous terrace in my room. Finally, the amenities were excellent, with everything I needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. I couldn't have asked for a better breakfast to start my day either.
Nothing to improve, everything was perfect!

This cozy hostel is the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation or remote work on the island. The location offers easy access to nearby restaurants and bars, making it an ideal spot for socializing. The living room and garden provide comfortable communal areas to hang out and meet fellow travelers. The rooms are clean and comfortable with hot showers and basic cooking amenities available for guests.
Although the hostel is located in a small village, it may not be the best spot for visitors looking to explore extensive hiking trails in the center of the island.

the location was perfect, close to everything important in the city. We had easy access to the best restaurant in town, where we enjoyed delicious meals. It was also convenient to hop on a boat and explore the island for another trip or just work remotely from here. the room was cozy and had a comfortable bed with curtains for privacy. the shared living and dining space was beautiful and well-maintained.
The limited number of bathrooms, which sometimes caused a wait to use the facilities.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, showing us all the best places to visit in the area. The hotel facilities were clean and comfortable, with a beautiful shared living and dining space. Loved the cool vibe of the hostel, great for a short city break. The location was unbeatable, only a minute walk from the beach which was perfect for sunset views. The mouthwatering bakery and appetizing restaurants nearby were a delightful surprise. , the washer/dryer combo in the kitchen saved us from packing too much.
The noise level in the area, especially from the nearby popular restaurant. It was quite difficult to sleep before 11 pm.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff, everybody was chatty and sweet! the location was key, with beautiful scenery nearby, and walks available without a car. the beds were really comfortable and clean.
The location was a bit inconvenient if traveling by bus, and arriving late at night can be uncomfortable with a 20-minute walk in the dark. the lack of mirrors in the rooms or corridors was a bit inconvenient when the bathroom was busy, and the towels were a bit small.

I stayed at Jaca Hostel for two weeks and it was one of the best dorm experiences. They provided towels and had daily cleaning. The vibe of this place is amazing, with stunning views and perfect nature all around. The owners are very friendly and always ready to help. They even supported me in difficult times and treated me for free. I was lucky to attend a live concert with wonderful Portuguese musicians and enjoy delicious pizza cooked by Ricco. Truly an unforgettable time in Madeira.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location near beaches and restaurants. Helpful staff that organized events like burger night.
Premises need better cleaning, with mold and cockroaches in the bathroom. Outdated and not as pictured.
